Doomsday Nathan Lee lists "five under-rated films that deserve your love - or laughs, or incredulity..."

Cartoon Brew co-editor Jerry Beck picks "not only my personal favorites of the year - but [they] will remain favorites of mine for years to come."

For the record, as one of the Guardian critics asked to list five favourite films released in the UK in 2008, here is my list below, although I don't believe there is any hierarchy in greatness, nor do I believe in these lists. Only one of my choices made it to the top ten. It feels odd that the best film chosen was the meretricious No Country For Old Men.
