Bookmark it, subscribe to the feed, then start exploring. Moving Image Source, the new project from the Museum of the Moving Image overseen by the extraordinary editor and cinephile Dennis Lim, has launched today and will be updated each Thursday.

There are three main sections - with quite a bit of thematic overlap. The extensive Research Guide is smartly organized, tree-like, so that no matter how far you drill down into it towards specific sites, you can always see the trunk or other thick branches to leap over to at whim. What makes the Calendar unique is its emphasis on international events. And the Articles? Here's where Dennis Lim's years of experience working with dozens of the best writers on film pay off. Just a random sampling: Jonathan Rosenbaum on William Klein, Chris Fujiwara on Tatsuya Nakadai and B Kite on Richard Brody's new biography of Godard.
