Online viewing, 5/2.

As we slip into the weekend, let's start with a few light but quite nicely done montages, a few minutes each, from
barringer82: Films of the
70s,
80s and
90s. These come by way of
Steve Bryant, who praises the synchronization with the soundtrack, and I'd add that not only are they well-executed, they're also well-conceived. These are popular films, not a best-of canonization, and barringer82's done a fine job of striking the tone of each decade.
Bilge Ebiri introduces
Ricky D'Ambrose's
Moments from a Film School.
Jerry Lentz has sent along a fine batch of tips in the past couple of days: A bit of
Godard's
Histoire(s) du Cinema;
Jack Hill, interviewed;
Peter Bogdanovich and others on
Orson Welles;
Julie Christie, interviewed in 1965;
Richard Attenborough, interviewed (for nearly an hour in 1992).
Anne Thompson's got a fun one:
Don Knotts is Dubya.
Phil Hoad's "Clip joint: slackers."
Darren Hughes finds a long conversation with
Ken Jacobs.
At the
SpoutBlog,
Christopher Campbell comments on that new
Hancock trailer.
