Berlinale. Opener. And Africa.

Via indieWIRE's Brian Brooks comes news that Martin Scorsese's Shine a Light, documenting two Rolling Stones concerts in late 2006, will open the Berlinale on February 7.

Also, the Berlinale Talent Campus and Germany's Foreign Office will be launching a new initiative, "Focus Africa," which'll bring several young African filmmakers - and their films, of course - to Berlin.
