Berlinale, 2/13.

Dennis Lim offers his half-time wrap-up from the Berlinale for indieWIRE. Lady Chatterley, for example, "is at once the most adventurous and the most conventionally satisfying film I've seen here so far."

Saw three films today:

• El Otro: B- (It started so well; then it started simply biding time.)

• Irina Palm: B+ (Press screening was packed; frequent outbursts of laughter; first time this year I've heard this crowd cheer a film as the credits rolled; Marianne Faithfull: a star is reborn; it's not the acting chops, by any means; just that certain something.)

• The Walker: D+ (Whatever happened to Paul Schrader?)

Online viewing tip. "Vår første video fra Berlinalen!" A minute and a half and just terrific.
