Carol Reed @ 100.

The Third Man Carol Reed would have turned 100 on Saturday and Edward Copeland posted quite a tribute, arguing that even if The Third Man were the only movie Reed ever made, "he would still be deserving of a place among the ranks of film's greatest directors."

He also considers The Fallen Idol, Odd Man Out and a few later films many disdain, though he's not nearly as apt to dismiss them out of hand.
