Primer. Mockumentaries.

Waiting for Guffman There's more to the mockumentary than Christopher Guest. Not that there's anything wrong with Christopher Guest, by any means, but the genre has a longer history than you might remember and carries on evolving and thriving in the medium perhaps best suited for it: television.

Liz Cole surveys the highlights in our latest primer: "Mockumentaries."

Keith Fulton and Louis Pepe's "Brothers of the Head" looks great! I read it's from a story by British SF writer Brian Aldiss who worked with Stanley Kubrick for years on his, "Supertoys Last All Summer Long" and who revealed a story that the lens Kubrick used on "Barry Lyndon" was a spy satellite lens he got from the work he did on faking NASA Apollo moon footage. You know that's true!

If you like mocks you should try and get a copy of the Argentinian Dogme film "Fuckland."

And I'll mention that the terrific "Made in Secret" will very soon be out on DVD. Here's hoping Greencine grabs it as soon as it's available.

We will most certainly get Made in Secret. We actually pre-ordered it ages ago but it sounds like they've hit some delays. Hoping to see it out soon!
