"You get six troubled-teen movies for the price of one in 2:37, a queasy exploitation picture masquerading as a serious dramatic treatment of teen suicide from Australian writer-helmer Murali K Thalluri," writes Variety's Justin Chang.
Ray Bennett in the Hollywood Reporter on the Un Certain Regard entry: "The buzz of school life can easily obscure alienation and loneliness, the film observes, and if its depiction is a little too pat, it's nonetheless worthwhile."
